Michigan-Columbia Exchange Project
We started an exchange project with the University of Michigan Law School from the summer semester of 1992 and the Columbia Law School from the winter semester of 1994. By 2023, about 100 professors and associate professors visited us and gave a series of lectures on "Introduction to Anglo-American Law" and seminars on comparative law and politics, mainly for members of the Faculty of Law.
About 90 professors and associate professors from the graduate school gave lectures on Japanese law at these two law schools.
This project had been implemented by the former International Center for Comparative Law, and after the establishment of the Law School, it was taken over as part of the law school's Transnational Law Program. IBC is now in charge as part of the "Law School Support Project".
